Baywindow Crew cab Interiorpanel Set
5pc Interior panel set for the classic Volkswagen T2 Baywindow Double cabine pickup also known as the Crewcab. We have sets for the years 1967 up to 1979.
The sets which need to be upholstered are available in 3mm Birch plywood or 3mm Oiltempered Hardboard, both waterresistant. The Birch plywood is far stronger then the Hardboard but some upholstery shops prefer to work with the hardboard.
All panels will have all the holes needed for the original clips, windowwinders, doorpullers, etc at the correct spot. All optional holes, like ashtrays and pockets, are pre-cut so they can be used if desired.
Note that the rear panels are all for the visible, chrome clips. Not the invisible clips that go underneath the upholstery.
The sets which are installed with screws and washers can be left in wood and don't need to be upholstered. All they need is a finish. This can be paint, laquer, oil, wrap, etc as long as you protect both sides. A simple and great way to customize your bus without the need for an upholstery shop! Only the essential holes for the screws, doorpullers and windowwinders are cut, everything else is indicated at the back of the panels (not pre-cut!). Only available in 3mm Birch plywood.
Note that all sets do NOT include the bulkhead panels nor kickpanels. please order those seperate.
It's highly recommended to use decent installation hardware and plastic foils that go behind the panels. We offer several options regarding installation hardware;
- No installation hardware. If you already bought it or use your own.
- The minimum option includes just the correct clips/rubbers or screws & washer in the regular quality. There will be 50 clips for the front door panels, 42 chrome clips for the rear side panels and side door panel , 100 rubber grommets or 140 screw & washers provided.
- The premium option includes everything you need to install the panel set in premium quality; 50 clips for the front door panels, 42 chrome clips for the rear side panels and side door panel , 100 rubber grommets or 140 screw & washers in the best quality available, plastic door foil kit (not with the screw mounted sets) and foam isolation parts for window winder and doorhandle.
